Calculating the Maximum Amperage Of Your Charger
by Motion RC
If you have ever tried to charge your battery and found that your charger is not able to go beyond a certain amperage, your charger is most likely not defective. The issue is one of electrical theory. In electronics Amps x Volts = Watts. If you are charging a 4S battery (with a nominal voltage of 14.8 volts), on a charger which is rated at 50W, your maximum charge current will be approx 3.4 amps. Here is the math: 3.4amps x 14.8V = 50W
