Admiral LiFe, Li-ion, Li-Po, and NiMH RC Batteries

Motion RC carries a full selection of top-quality Admiral batteries in all primary chemistries including LiPo, LiFe, NiMH, and Li-ion. Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFe), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), Lithium Polymer (LiPo), and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries are sized by the number of cells in series (S) and the capacity in milliamp hours (mAh). Milliamp hours can be thought of in terms of the "fuel tank" of the battery, while the number of cells determines the voltage. Each cell within a Li-Po battery pack is rated nominally at 3.7 volts. When cells are added in series, the voltage increases by 3.7V for each cell added. For example, a 2S Li-Po battery is 7.4V, and a 6S Li-Po battery is 22.2V....

Li-Po battery performance is indicated by a "C" rating printed clearly on the battery. Admiral takes this rating very seriously and we NEVER exaggerate the C rating; a common practice among competitor's battery brands. The "C" rating means a battery rated at 30C is capable of delivering 30 times the battery's capacity in Amp hours. Therefore, a 3000mAh battery rated at 30C is capable of delivering 90 Amps continuous (30 x 3.0 Amp hours) until the cells in the battery reach 3.3V each.
