I hit a repaired mole hole on landing role out on the last flying session which snapped the support strut that goes from the nose leg into the slot on the fuselage. I have tried to use the plane again with a carbon epoxy sleeve around the strut but the strut broke beyond the sleeve. I think it could be a case of the plastic that has suffered from shock fractures. I decided to replace the full unit rather than just the strut. Great service as always

Includes everything from the connecting pin (including C clip) to the tires. It is painful to remove and replace the connecting pin from the retract unit. However, you can unscrew...read moreIncludes everything from the connecting pin (including C clip) to the tires. It is painful to remove and replace the connecting pin from the retract unit. However, you can unscrew the retract unit from the mount, split the retract to remove the trunion, remove the C clip from the old strut and replace the entire strut assembly without having to unplug the retract unit. You do have to run the light wiring, so fish a pull string on the old light wire so you can pull the new light wire. Have patience, it's not a quick swap, but better than having to replace the individual gear pieces.
