Why Did Motion RC Update Their Website?
In June of 2016, we launched a whole new website look and layout..."Motion RC 2.0" if you will. While many are appreciating the new website, there will always be some that wonder what was wrong with the original site. After all, they might say, "If it ain't broke, why fix it?"
There are many reasons, some of the key reasons are listed below to help give our customers some insight into the update.
The New Website Is "Responsive" - What does that mean? It means that our website is now designed to look good on all screen resolutions and platforms be it from your PC, Mac or portable devices like smart phones, laptops, tablets, etc. In the past, customers might have encountered numerous issues when trying to look up product on their smart phones or tablets. With the new design, the layout is intuitive and will work seamlessly on all devices.
Filters Are Your Friend! - At Motion RC, we have thousands and thousands of RC-related product. With that amount of inventory it makes sense to offer our customers a search system that utilizes filters so you can quickly, intuitively and easily find what you are looking for. Common filters (using airplanes as an example) are categories like brand, skill level, product type (PNP, RTF, ARF, etc), wingspan, battery type and so forth to quickly refine your search. Our "Mega Menu" at the top of each page offers a quick visual reference to all of our main product categories.
Product Q&A - Each major product that we sell now has a "Product Q&A" tab. This allows customers to ask legitmate questions regarding the product. The questions are reviewed, answered by one of our product support technicians and then posted to that product page's Q&A tab. This can be extremely helpful for customers who may have the same types of questions concerning that product.
